Emme is shaking up the women’s healthcare category and removing the stigma attached to birth control choices. They reached out to us for our expertise in beauty, lifestyle, and fashion and asked us to parlay that vivid passion into a healthcare product that had seen little to no innovation. Through our partnership, the Emme smart case was brought to life.

We approached the surface design of Emme’s device through a strategically disruptive lens, lead by the belief: if she loves the look of her case, she’s more likely to carry it with her, and less likely to miss a pill. The holistic brand design evolved from that as the anchor—the go-anywhere pill tracker, the online experience, packaging, the app…all contribute to an innovative, integrated and joyful user experience. Particularly during a time when women’s reproductive rights are at risk, Emme is proof of the power of design to elevate a user experience and do good.

Emme

  • “With an approachable, fresh design, birth control and women's health get a jolt of empowerment and beauty in EMME.”

    — POPSUGAR

  • “An attractive, aesthetic gadget first and foremost, the Emme is cute. And I think the cuteness is an essential part of what makes it work. Since the Emme actually looks nice, I WANT to use it. I actually like looking at it, so it just became easier to always put my pills inside and leave the Emme sitting out. Suddenly, I made it through the whole month without losing my pills once.”

    — Mashable

  • “The EMME smart case comes in an array of vibrant colors, of which I chose lush plum, and the ribbed design makes it a cute — and, dare I say a chic—accessory.”

    — DIELINE awards
