With a personal vision and a set of keys to an empty storefront, our client and owner of Tend Greenpoint, presented us with a yellowed 1950s photo of his grandfather’s hand painted sign for the family's contractor’s business. That—the Americana vibe of local hardware store signage, oxidized copper tools and vintage garden ephemera like seed packets—was Deerfield’s starting point for Tend’s collaged logo.

Combining iconic cues from Greenpoint, Brooklyn (our old haunt btw. It’s where Deerfield was born) we created a utilitarian and charming brand for Tend Greenpoint, a small space gardening shop on a mission to become a neighborhood staple and source of local pride.
